AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. '353, AS AMENDED,ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO" PASSED AND ADOPTED AUGUST 10,]954,
ADDING SEC/IONS 411 c AND d.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
1. Amendment of Section 4.11.
Section 4.11 of Ordinance No. 353, as Amended,
entitled "Zoning Ord.inance of the.City of South San Francisco"
passed and adopted August 10, 1954, is hereby amended to add
thereto Subsections c and d which shall read as follows:
(c) Driveway Access:
(1) Driveway access to parking areas for a
single family dwelling shall not be
less than 10 feet in width through-
out, and the required turnaround
areas may not be used for required
parking spaces.
(2) Driveway access to all other uses
shall be at least 15 feet for one-
way traffic, nor less than 25 feet
for two-way access.
(3) The Planning Commission, upon recom-
o mendation of the Department of
Public Services or Traffic Engineer,
may reduce a one-way access drive
to no less than 12 feet and a two-
way access drive to no less than 20
feet; if, in his opinion,such
width reductions are necessary to
the proper functions of such access
ways, and if s'uch reduction will have
no adverse effect on the public
health, safety and welfare.
(d) Circulation:
(1) No parking space shall be so con-
structed as to cause a vehicle to
maneuver within 10 feet of vehicular
access to the property
(2) A turna~ound area shall be provided
of at least 25 feet for 90 degree
parking, 18 feet for 60 degree
parking, 14 feet for 45 degree park-
ing, 12 feet for 30 degree parking or
parallel parking (provided that at
least 4 feet shall be provided be-
tween each 2 parallel spaces.)
II.
Publication and Effective Date:
This Ordinance shall be published once as
required by law, and shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 20th
