AN ORDINANCE APPROVING ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN.FRANCISCO,.DESIGNATED
LANDS OF CALLAN INCLUDING PORTIONS OF'STATE ROUTE 280
AND JUNIPERO SERRA BOULEVARD ABUTTING THEREON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY .OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of March, 1977, the Local Agency Formation
Commission of the County of San MatJo did pass and. adopt ResolutionRe, 509
.entitled "Resolution of Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of
San' Mateo Making Determinations and Approving the Proposed Annexation of Ter-
ritory, Designated as Lands of Callan (13.3 acres) Being a Portion of the
Westborough Commercial Area and State Route 280 to the City of South San Fran-
cisco Pursuant to Government Code Section 54797.1,." which Resolution 4escribed
the boundaries of the~territory propose~..,~o be annexed to the City-of South
SanFrancisco, and
' WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of South Sen Fran-
cisco and is uninhabited territory.in the County of San Mateo, State of C~li-
fornia, and
WHEREAS,. the owners of said territory have given and executed their
written consent as provided by law that the property within thJ annexe~ ter-
tirotyshall be annexed to the City of South San Francisco, and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San
Mateo, pursuant to Government Code Section 35015, has given its approval and
authorization· pursuant to Government Code Section 54797.1, to annex said
territory without notice' hearing or election; and

WHEREAS~ said Local A~ency Formation Commission required as a con-
dition a revised map and legal description to include the abuttin~ and. unincor-
porated portions of Junipero Serra Boulevard, w~ich revised map and legal
description have been prepared and are attached to thi~ Ordinance as Ezhibit
"A" (pa§es'l and 2); and
WHEREAS,. the owners of private property included in the territory;to ~
be annexed have 9iven written consent that said property within the territory.

1. Approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to
~he City of South San Francisco, and does further ordain that the sai(terri-
tor~ be and ~s hereby annexed, to the City of South San Francisco and ~s desig-
mated:. "Lands of Callan Including Portions of State Route 280 and ~unipero
Serra Boulevard Abuttin§ Thereon,''' which territory is more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein..
.2, Directs the City Clerk to prepare and ~ile the follow~n~ w~th
~he San Mateo County Local A§escy Formation Commission: (a) Six certified
cop~es of the ordinance approving the annexation, (b) six copies of the map
~nd legal deScription of the boundaries affected by the annexation, and (c) a
check made payable to the State Board of Equalization for the filing and pro-
cess~ng fees in accordance with Government Code Section 54797.2 and related
sections.
3. Directs the City Clerk to prepare and file an affidavit of
completion with the San Mateo County Recorder in accordance with Government
Code Section 34080 and related sections.
This Ordinance shall be published once in th6 ~nterprise-,lournal,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, aS
required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
its 'adoption.
