AN ORDINANCE AMENDING DIVISION II,
ARTICLE 12 OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE,
1973 EDITION (SAFE ANDSANE FIREWORKS).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.
AMENDMENT OF DIVISION II, ARTICLE 12 OF THE
UNIFORM FIRE CODE, 1973 EDITION.
Division II, Article 12 of the Uniform Fire Code, 1973 Edition, adopted
by reference pursuant to Ordinance 654'on November 5, 1973, and thereafter
amended by Ordinance 664 adopted April 15, 1974, is hereby amended by adding
thereto the following:
12.203A(1). The time for filing an application for permit to
store, sell, possess or transfer safe and Sane Fire-
works in the City of South San Francisco for 1977
shall be June 28 ,1977.
SECTION II. URGENCY MEASURE.
This Ordinance is declared to be an urgency measure adopted pursuant to
the provisions of Government Code Section 36937, in that it is for the imme-
diate preservation of the public peace, health and safety. The Council finds
and declares that the extension of time to file applications in June of 1977
for the storage, use, sale, transfer or possession of Safe and Sane Fireworks
· is necessary to control hazards to life and property related thereto.
SECTION III. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once, as required by law, in the
Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of South San Francisco, and shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
