HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 793-1979 ORDINANCE NO. 793-79 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 661 ADOPTED APRIL 1, 1974, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED '!AN ORDINANCE REGULATING WASTE DISCHARGES" THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 7.1. Section 7.1 of Ordinance No. 661 adopted April 1, 1974,, as amended, entitled "An Ordinance Regulating Waste Discharges" is hereby amended to read: 7.1 Sewer Connection Fees. A connection charge shall be paid by the discharger or parcel owner for connection to a public sanitary sewer or appurten- ance thereof and for change in class or subclass of an exist- ing connection as shown in the following schedule. If there is an existing connection for a residential class and additional dwelling units are made, the connection charge for 'the additional · units shall be paid as shown in the following schedule. If there is an existing connection for an institutional, commercial or industrial class and additional fixture units are made, the connection charge for the additional fixture units shall be paid as shown in the following schedule User's Classification. Fee (Per Connection) (a) Residential Class Single-Family dwel 1 i ng Multi-Family dwelling (duplexes, flats, apartments, auto courts, motels, trailer courts, and similar class of users) $250.00 per dwelling $250.00 per dwelling unit CENTRAL RECORDS User's Classification (b) Institutional Class (Schools, hospitals, colleges, cemeteries, rest homes, clubs, lodges and similar class of users) (c) Commercial Class (Legal, financial, real'estate, insurance offices, buildings, warehouses, hotels, restaurants, stores and similar class of users) Industrial Class (Manufacturers, processers, producers, laundries, photo- finishers, painting services, packagers, electrical services and similar class of users) Fee.(per Connection) $250.00 plus $25.00 per fixture unit over ten (10) fixture units* $550.00 plus $25.00 per fixture unit over ten (10) fixture units* $550.00 plus $25.00 per fixture unit over ten (10) fixture units* *Fixture units shall be determined'by the Building Inspector in accord- ance with the Uniform Plumbing Code adopted by the City of South San Francisco and then in effect. Fixtures include but are not limited to kitchen, sinks, bathtubs, water closets, washbasins, laundry tubs, urinals, cellar drains, grinders, garage drains, floor drains. SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption. e Introduced this 6th day of June , 1979 .
