AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 396 AS
AMENDED ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
SEWER SERVICE CHARGES AND PROCEDURES RELATED
THERETO."
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
AMENDMENT OF SECT~N$10 and 11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 396 AS
AMENDED.
Sections 10 and 11 of Ordinance No. 396, adopted June 4, 1956, as
amended, entitled "An Ordinance Establishing Sewer Service Charges and
Procedures Related Thereto" are hereby amended by adding thereto Subsections
10.1 and 11.1 respectively to read as follows:
SECTION 10.1 EXCEPTION.
The Report required by Section 10 to be filed on July 1,
1979, shall be filed no later than August 8, 1979, for
fiscal year 1979-80.
SECTION 11.1. EXCEPTION.
An approved Report shall be filed on or before August 10,
1979, with the County Tax Collector and Auditor,subject to
ratification and/or modification by the City Council after
a public hearing on August 22, 1979, for fiscal year 1979-80.
SECTION 2. URGENCY MEASURE.
This OWdinance is declared to be an urgency measure adopted
pursuant to the provisions of Government Code SectiOn § 36937 in that (a) it
relates to sewer service charges for the usual and current expenses of the
CENTRAL RECORD~-

City for fiscal year 1979-80 determined after expiration of the protest period
and modifications made by the Director.of Public Services pursuant thereto,
and (b) it is for the immediate preservation of public peace, health and
safety because it establishes sewer charges to fund sanitary sewer services
during fiscal year 1979-80.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION.
This Ordinance shall take effect as an urgency measure inl~ediately
upon its adoption and shall be published once as required by law in the
Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South
San Francisco.
