HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 802-1979ORDINANCE NO. 802-79 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6, OF ORDINANCE NO. 449, ADOPTED MARCH 21, 1960, ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RECREATING AND RE-ESTABLISHING A PERSONNEL SYSTEM FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 216 AND ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES~" FOLLOWS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. AMENDMENT'TO'SECTION 6. Section 6 of Ordinance No. 449, adopted the 21st day of March, 1979, entitled "An Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco Recreating and Re-Establishing a Personnel System for the City of South San Francisco and Repealing Ordinance No. 216 and All Inconsistent Ordinances," as amended, is hereby amended to read: SECTION 6. COMPETITIVE SERVICE. A. The following positions or offices shall be in the competitive service. PUBLICATION. Pursuant to the provisions of Government Codes § 36933 (revised by Chapter 850, Statutes of 1978), a Summary of this Ordinance shall b~ prepared by the City Attorney. At least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting at which this OrdinanCe is scheduled to be adopted, the City Clerk shall {1) publish the Summary and (2) post in the City Clerk's Office a certified copy of this Ordinance. Within fifteen (15) days after adoption of this Ordinance, the City Clerk shall (1) publish the Summary and (2) post in the City Clerk's Office a certified copy of the full text of this Ordinance along with the names of those City Council Members voting for and against this Ordinance or otherwise voting. SECTION 3. 'EFFECTIVE DATE.
