AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 538
ADOPTED OCTOBER 25, 1965, AS AMENDED,
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING
SCAVENGER SERVICES"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. AMENDMENT OF SECTION II - DEFINITIONS.
Section II of Ordinance No. 538 adopted October 25, 1965, as amended,
entitled, "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING SCAVENGER SERVICES," is hereby amended by
adding thereto Subsection (h) to read as follows:
(h) Senior Citizen - The term "senior citizen" as used herein shall
mean a person 65 years of age or older, or a person 62 years of
age or older on disability retirement.
SECTION II. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as
required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after its adoption.
