AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 783-79 ENTITLED
'"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT AND REMOVAL
AS PUBLIC NUISANCES OF ABANDONED, WRECKED, DISMANTLED
OR INOPERATIVE VEHICLES OR PARTS THEREOF FROM PRIVATE
PROPERTY OR PUBLIC PROPERTY NOT INCLUDING HIGHWAYS,
AND RECOVERY OF COSTS OF AD~IINISTRATION THEREOF AS
AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 22660 VEHICLE CODE"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 2(c) OF ORDINANCE NO. 783-79.
Section 2(c) of Ordinance No. 783-79, adopted February 21, 1979, entitled
"An Ordinance Providing for the Abatement and Removal as Public Nuisances of
Abandoned, Wrecked, Dismantled or Inoperative Vehicles or Parts Thereof from
Private Property or Public Property not Including Highways, and Recovery of
Costs of Administration Thereof as Authorized by Section 22660 Vehicle Code,"
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2 (c)
This Ordinance shall not apPly to vehicles, the value of which
exceeds $200.00, as that 9alue is determined by the locally designated
officer. Detemination of value may be rebutted at the hearing on
removal and assessment of costs.
SECTION 2. ADDITION OF SECTION 19.
Ordinance No. 783-79, adopted February 21, 1979, which title is herein-
before recited, is amended by adding thereto Section 19, which shall read
as follows:
Section 19. SHORT TITLE.
This Ordinance shall be known and cited as the "South San Francisco
FILE NO.:
Abandoned Vehicle. Abatement Ordinance."
SECTION 3. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be Published once in the Enterprise Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as
required by law, and shall become effective thrity {30} days from and after
its adoption.

at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South
