AGENDA REVIEW
City Manager Nagel requested the Closed Session be taken following the Consent Calendar.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
None.
CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Motion to approve the minutes of July 26, 2006
2. Motion to confirm expense claims of August 9, 2006 in the amount of$43,384.80
3. Resolution adopting findings and authorizing and directing staff to let out contracts for
the open market purchase of materials and the engagement of day labor to perform the
380 Alta Vista Rehabilitation Project
Boardmember Matsumoto re:quested the item be pulled from the Consent Calendar.
4. Motion to cancel meeting of August 23, 2006
Motion-Garbarino/Second-Gonzalez: To approve Consent Calendar Item Nos. 1, 2, and
4. Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Item No.3: Boardmembers Matsumoto and Addiego questioned the amount of work being
done on the house prior to Agency approval. Assistant Director Van Duyn explained the
minor work being done on the roof and the process for hiring day labor on hourly bases
through the City's payroll system. Agency Counsel Mattas addressed the savings that the
City will realize by using this approach. Boardmembers Matsumoto and Addicgo
expressed their disapproval of starting a project before it's appropriate receiving agency
approval.
Motion-Matsumoto/Second-Addiego: To approve Resolution No. 14-2006, adopting
findings and authorizing and directing staff to let out contracts for the open market
purchase of materials and supplies and the engagement of day labor to perfomL the 380
Alta Vista Drive RehabilitatJion Project, No. 51-1323-0451. Unanimously approved by
voice vote.

ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
5. Resolution authorizing the use oftax increment revenues for public facilities and an
amendment to the settlement agreement with the County of San Mateo
Following the Closed Session, City Attorney Mattas stated the item was removed from the
Agendafor consideration at afuture meeting..

Being no further business, Chairman Fernekes adjourned the meeting at 7:40 p.m.
