2. Usage of the Miller garage. Ratio between monthly permanent parking vs daily
users. (INFORMATIONAL)
- Secretary Espiritu and Principal Planner Friedman presented information
regarding Miller parking garage occupancy. Information collected by Public
Works shows information on occupancy for a one-week survey period (Monday
to Friday) from March 28 through April 1. Data for the Miller Parking Garage
6
showed up to 93% occupancy of regular meter spaces during the 12:00 pm to
2:00 pm “lunch rush.” However, these high occupancies were only observed
on Thursday and Friday. Miller Parking Garage permit parking-only spaces
were consistently observed with up to only 64% occupancy for the week.
o Preliminary conclusions from the data indicates meter occupancy is high
at times, but not consistently throughout the week.
