Approval of the Regular Meeting Minutes for April 12, 2022 City of South San Francisco Printed on 6/10/2022Page 1 of 1 powered by Legistar™5 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES April 12, 2022 CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REGULAR MEETING PARKING PLACE COMMISSION CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 5:04 p.m. by Chairperson Monzon ROLL CALL Present: Hermes Monzon, Chairperson Jolene Malfatti, Vice Chairperson Dana Abarca, Commissioner Absent: City Staff: Christopher Espiritu, Secretary of the Parking Place Commission Adena Friedman, Principal Planner Cristina Cruz, Clerk AGENDA REVIEW: No changes PUBLIC COMMENT: None received through email or voicemail or during the meeting. CONSENT CALENDAR: 1. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Regular Meeting Minutes of the Parking Place Commission March 8, 2022 Motion – Vice Chair Abarca / Second – Chair Malfatti – to approve the minutes as submitted. Approved by voice vote (3-0-0). ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS 2. Usage of the Miller garage. Ratio between monthly permanent parking vs daily users. (INFORMATIONAL) - Secretary Espiritu and Principal Planner Friedman presented information regarding Miller parking garage occupancy. Information collected by Public Works shows information on occupancy for a one-week survey period (Monday to Friday) from March 28 through April 1. Data for the Miller Parking Garage 6 showed up to 93% occupancy of regular meter spaces during the 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm “lunch rush.” However, these high occupancies were only observed on Thursday and Friday. Miller Parking Garage permit parking-only spaces were consistently observed with up to only 64% occupancy for the week. o Preliminary conclusions from the data indicates meter occupancy is high at times, but not consistently throughout the week.
