Under the amended rules, the City will not provide a physical location for members of the public to participate in the teleconference meeting. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Nagales called the meeting to order at 5:06 p.m. ROLL CALL Councilmembers Coleman, Flores, Addiego, Vice Mayor Nicolas, and Mayor Nagales. AGENDA REVIEW None. REMOTE PUBLIC COMMENTS — comments are limited to items on the Special Meeting Agenda. None. ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS 1. Report regarding Boards and Commissions interviews and appointments to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and the Library Board. (Rosa Govea Acosta, City Clerk) a. Interview Applicants for Multiple Positions: 5:20 p.m. Daniel Swarzman (Interviewed at 5:10 p.m.) 5:30 p.m. Jose Zelaya (Interviewed at 5:42 p.m.) Council interviewed applicants Swarzman and Zelaya. b. Interview Applicants for Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee: 5:40 p.m. Mohamed Abdelmeguid (Interviewed at 5:28 p.m.) 5:50 p.m. Arian Guzman (Interviewed at 5:55 p.m.) 6:00 p.m. Philip Hollenback (Interviewed at 6:03 p.m.) 6:10 p.m. Patrick Martin (Interviewed at 6:13 p.m.) 6:20 p.m. Frank McAuley (Interviewed at 6:28 p.m.) Council interviewed applicants Abdelmeguid, Guzman, Hollenback, Martin, McAuley. Mayor Nagales recessed the meeting at 6:35 p.m. Mayor Nagales resumed the meeting at 6:40 p.m. c. Interview Applicants for Library Board: 6:40 p.m. Catherine Abalos (Interviewed at 6:44 p.m.) 6:50 p.m. Diane Huddelston (Interviewed at 6:58 p.m.) 7:00 p.m. Monita Sharma (Interviewed at 7:06 p.m.) 7:10 p.m. Marisol Quevedo (Interviewed at 7:25 p.m.) Council interviewed applicants Abalos, Huddleston, Sharma, and Quevedo. d. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicants to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Council may appoint three (3) applicants to a term expiring August 17. 2026. Applicants: Abdelmeguid, Guzman, Hollenback, Martin, McAuley, Swarzman, Zelaya. After discussion and voting, Council appointed Applicants Arian Guzman, Philip Hollenback and Frank McAuley to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Motion - Councilmember Flores/Second - Councilmember Coleman to appoint Guzman, Hollenback, and McAuley to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee for terms expiring August 17, 2026. Unanimously approved by roll call vote. e. Discussion and consideration of appointment of applicants to the Library Board. Council may appoint one (1) applicant to a term expiring August 17, 2025. Applicants: Abalos, Huddleston, Sharma, Swarzman, Quevedo, Zelaya. After discussion and voting, Council re -appointed Applicant Diane Huddleston to the Library Board. Motion - Councilmember Addiego/Second - Vice Mayor Nicolas to re -appoint Diane Huddleston to the Library Board for a term expiring August 17, 2025. Unanimously approved by roll call vote.
