AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING ORDINANCE NO. 876-81,
ENTITLED, "AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROHIBITING THE APPROVAL,
ESTABLISHMENT OR ENLARGEMENT OF ANY AMUSEI~ENT
ARCADE AS DEFINED HEREIN DURING THE PENDENCY
OF STUDIES, AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. PURPOSE.
The purpose of this Ordinance is to extend Ordinance No. 876-81, adopted
on September 30, 1981 for a period of eight months in accordance with Govern-
ment Code Section 65858.
SECTION 2. EXTENSION.
Ordinance No. 876-81, entitled "An Urgency Ordinance of the City of
South San Francisco Prohibiting the Approval, Establishment or Enlargement of
any Amusement Arcade as Defined Herein during the Pendency of Studies, and
Declaring the Urgency Thereof," is hereby extended for a period of eight months
from and after January 29, 1982 in accordance with Government Code Section 65858.
SECTION 3. URGENCY MEASURE.
This Ordinance is declared to be an urgency measure adopted pursuant
to the provisions of Government Code Section 65858, in that it is for the
immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety and protects the
public safety, health and welfare. The Council finds and declares that the
facts set forth in Section 4, Paragraphs A and B, of Ordinance No. 876-81,
adopted on September 30, 1981, constitute the urgency and adopts said findings
as a declaration of said facts, in addition to the authorization for this urgency
Ordinance set forth in Government Code Section 65858.
SECTION 4. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once as required by law in the Enterprise
1. CENTRAL RECORD~
Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco,
and shall take effect as an urgency measure immedately upon its adoption.
Passed and adopted as an urgency Ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco in accordance with Government Code Section 65858 at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 2nd
day of December , 1981, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addie9o, Emanuele N. Damonte,
Gus Nicolopulos; and Roberta Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
