Resolution canvassing returns and declaring results of the 2022 General Municipal Election of November 8, 2022. WHEREAS, the 2022 General Municipal Election was consolidate with the Statewide General Election and was held on November 8, 2022, pursuant to Resolution No. 94-2022, Resolution No. 123-2022, and Resolution No. 139-2022, for the election of three (3) members of the City Council, a City Clerk, and a City Treasurer; and to consider ballot Measure AA and Measure DD; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk certified and presented to the City Council, for its inspection, all returns of the votes cast, pursuant to California Election Code Section 10264. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds as follows regarding the General Municipal Election held on November 8, 2022: 1.That there were 37,071 registered voters in the City of South San Francisco and that 18,445 total ballots were cast in the City of South San Francisco; and 2.That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said General Municipal Election are as follows: a)As regularly nominated candidates: Mark Addiego Council Member, District 1 Angelique Presidente Council Member, District 1 Buenaflor Nicolas Council Member, District 3 Brittany Burgo Council Member. Frank Risso was duly elected at said General Municipal Election as South San Francisco City Treasurer. Measure AA was duly approved by voters at said General Municipal Election. Measure DD was not approved by voters at said General Municipal Election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: 1.The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, issue Certificates of Election to Mark Addiego, Buenaflor “Flor” Nicolas, and Eddie Flores as members of the City Council for their respective districts. 2. The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, issue a Certificate of Election to Rosa Govea Acosta as City Clerk. 3.The City Clerk of South San Francisco shall, and is hereby ordered to, issue a Certificate of Election to Frank Risso as City Treasurer.
