AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.18.020 TO THE
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE PROVIDING
FOR A SURPLUS PROPERTY AUTHORITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SECTION 2.18.020 ADDED TO THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL
CODE.
There is hereby added to the South San Francisco Municipal Code Section
2.18.020, which shall read as follows:
"2.18.020 Surplus Property Authority. The City Council hereby declares
as follows:
A. That there exists the need for the Surplus Property Authority to
function in the City of South San Francisco;
B. That the City Council shall be ex-officio the §overning body of the
authority and shall be known as the Surplus Property Co~ission.
C. That the Surplus Property Authority is established pursuant to and
shall function in accordance with the Municipal Federal Surplus Property Authority
Law (Government Code Section 40500 et seq)."
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required
by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
