AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 3.04.030A OF
THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE AND 4.1
OF ORDINANCE NO. 449 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RE-CREATING AND
RE-ESTABLISHING A PERSONNEL SYSTEM FOR THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 216 AND ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES," AS AMENDED
FOLLOWS:
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1. SUBSECTIONS 3.04.030A OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL
CODE AND 4.1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 449, AMENDED
Subsections 3.04.030A of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and
4.1 of Ordinance No. 449, as amended, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"The Personnel Board is established, consisting of five (5) members
to be appointed by the City Council, which Board members shall be electors
of the City and in sympathy with the merit principles of public employ-
ment, except that no person shall be appointed to the Board who holds
any salaried public office."
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required
by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
Introduced this 15th day of June , 1983.
Passed and adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco
at a n adj. reqular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco this 27th day of July , 1983, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ronald G. Acosta, Mark N. Addieqo and
Roberta Cerri Teqlia
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmembers Emanuele N. Damonte and Gus Nicolopulos
