HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso RDA 16-2006 RESOLUTION NO. 16-2006 REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, ST ATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT PLANNING AND ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES FOR FISCAL YEARS 2005-06 AND 2006-07 ARE NECESSARY FOR THE PRODUCTION, IMPROVEMENT, OR PRESERVATION OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSING PURSUANT TO SECTION 33334.3 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE WHEREAS, Section 33334.3(d) of the California Health and Safety Code (the Code) states that Inoneys in the Redeveloplnent Agency's Low and Moderate InCOlne Housing Fund (the Housing Fund) shall be used to increase, ilnprove, and preserve the supply of low and Inoderate inCOlne housing within the territorial jurisdiction of the Redeveloplnent Agency (the Agency); and WHEREAS, the Code further states that it is the intent of the California Legislature that the Housing Funds of California Redeveloplnent Agencies be used to the Inaxilnuln extent possible to defray the costs of production, ilnprovelnent, and preservation of low and Inoderate income housing; and WHEREAS, the Code further states that the aInount of Inoney spent for planning and general adlninistrative expenses within each Housing Fund should not be disproportionate to the aInount actually spent for the costs of production, improvelnent, or preservation of housing; and WHEREAS, the Code further states that the Agency shall detennine annually that the planning and adlninistrative expenses incurred in the Housing Fund are necessary for the production, ilnprovelnent, or preservation of low and Inoderate incolne housing; and WHEREAS, the Agency has determined that the amount spent in 2005-06 for planning and administrative expenses in the Housing Fund were necessary for the production, ilnprovement, or preservation of low and Inoderate incOlne housing and are not disproportionate to the direct costs spent on the production, ilnproven1ent of preservation of such housing in the overall Housing Fund budget; and WHEREAS, the Agency has detennined that the aInount budgeted in 2006-07 for planning and adlninistrative expenses in the Housing Fund are necessary for the production, improvelnent, or preservation of low and Inoderate incOlne housing, and are not disproportionate to the direct costs budgeted for the production, ilnprovement of preservation of such housing in the overall Housing Fund budget.
