AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.08 OF THE
SOUTH FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE AND CERTAIN
SECTIONS OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
AMENDMENT OF SECTION 15.08~064 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNI-
CIPAL CODE WHICH ADDED THE FIRST SENTENCE OF SUBSECTION 304(c)
AMD SUBSECTIONS 304(b) AND 304(d)2 TO THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE.
Section 15,08.064 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"15.08.064 First Sentence of Subsection 304 (a) and Subsections
~04(b) and (304(d)2 Added.
The first sentence of Subsection 304(a) and Subsections 304(b)
and 304(d) 2 are hereby added to Section 304 and shall read as follows:
"Fees.
Section 3.04(a) Permit Fees, The fee for each permit shall be
as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
by this reference."
(b) Plan Review Fees. When a plan or other data is required to
be submitted by Subsection (b) of Section 302, a plan review fee shall be
paid at the time of submitting plans and specifications for review~
Said plan review fee shall be sixty-five percent (65%) of the building
permit fee. Where plans are incomplete or changed so as to require
additional plan review, an additional plan review fee shall be charged
at the rate shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and previously incorp-
orated herein by reference.
(d)2. Fee. An investigation fee, in addition to the permit fee,
shall be collected whether or not a permit is then or subsequently
issued. The investigation fee shall be equal to the amount of the
permit fee required by this Code. The minimum investigation fee shall
be the same as the minimum set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
previously incorporated herein by reference. The payment of such invest-
igation fee shall not exempt any person from compliance with all other
provisions of this Code nor from any penalty prescribed by law."
SECTION 2. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 15.08.067 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNI-
CIPAL CODE ADDING THE FOURTH PARAGRAPH OF SUBJECTION 305(g) TO
SECTION 305 OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE
Section 15.08.067 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Fourth Paragraph of Section 305(g) Amended.
The fourth paragraph of Section 305(g) is hereby amended to read
as follows:
"To obtain a reinspection, the applicant shall file an application
therefor in writing upon a form furnished for that purpose and pay the
reinspection fee in accordance with Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incoporated herein by this reference."
SECTION 3. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 15.08.135 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNI-
CIPAL CODE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 5108(c) AND (d) OF THE UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE
Section 15.08.135 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"15.08.135 Subsections 5108(c) and (d) Amended.
Subsections 5108(c) and (d) are hereby amended to read as follows:
"(c) Application for Permits. Application for a permit to install
shall be made on forms provided by the building official, and the permit
shall be issued to an owner upon payment of permit fees as set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference~

(d) Application for Certificate of Inspection~ Application
for a Certificate of Inspection shall be made by the owner of an elevator,
dumbwaiter, escalator or moving walk. Applications shall be in writing on
a form provided by the building official and shall be accopanied by an
inspection report as described in Section 5113~ Fees for Certificates
of Inspection shall be as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
previously incorporated herein by reference,"
SECTION 4. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 15.08,165 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNI-
CIPAL CODE AMENDING SECTION 7007 OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE.
Section 15.08.165 of the South San Fracisco Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 15~08.165 Section 7007 Amended.
Section 7007 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Fees
Section 7007(a) Plan-Checking Fee. For excavation and fill on
the same site, the fee shall be based on the volume of the excavation
or fill. whichever is greater.. Before accepting a set of plans and
specifications for checking, the building official shall collect a
plan-checking fee~ Separate permits and fees shall apply to retaining
walls or major drainage structures as indicated elsewhere in this code'
There shall be no separate charge for standard terrace drains and similar
facilities. The amount of the plan-checking fee for grading plans shall
be as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by this reference.
(b) Grading Permit Fees. A fee for each grading permit shall be
paid to the building official as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and previously incorporated herein by reference."

SECTION 5. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once as required by law in the
Enterprise Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San
Francisco, and shall take effect thirty (30) days following its adoption.
