AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 11.44.110 OF THE
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE AND SECTION
12.10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 491 ENTITLED "TRAFFIC
ORDINANCE, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO"
(PARKING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SECTION 11.44.110 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE
AND SECTION 12.10 OF ORDINANCE NO. 491AMENDED
Section 11.44.1o0 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and Section
12.10 of Ordinance No. 491 are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Vehicles on Private Property.
(a)
It is unlawful for any person to operate, drive or leave
any vehicle in, over or upon any private property without
the express permission of the owner or occupant thereof.
(b)
The owner or person in lawful possession of any private
property may cause the removal of a vehicle parked on the
property to the nearest public garage if:
(1)
there is displayed, in plain view at all entrances to
the property, a sign, with dimensions not less than
sixteen inches (16") vertically by twenty-one inches
(21") horizontally, prohibiting public parking and
indicating that vehicles will be removed at the owner's
expense, and containing the telephone number of the
South San Francisco Police Department; or
(2) The lot or parcel upon which the vehicle is parked is
improved with a single family dwelling.
(c)
Any person causing the removal of a vehicle parked on private
property pursuant to the provisions of this section shall first
notify the South San Francisco Police Department by telephone,
or, if impractical, by the most expeditious means available and
shall comply with all other relevant provisions of Vehicle Code
Section 22658 or its successor."
SECTION 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as
required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
its adoption.
