AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 15,08.055 ADDING SUBSECTION
302(e) TO THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE PROVID-
ING FOR DEVELOPMENT FEES RELATED TO THE COST OF BRIDGES
AND MAJOR THOROUGHFARES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. SECTION 15.08.055 ADDING SUBSECTION 3021e) TO THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE ADDED
Section 15.08.055 is hereby added to the South San Francisco Municipal
Code and shall read as follows:
"15.08.055 Section 3021e) added. Section 302(e) is hereby added and
shall read as follows:
"3021e) Cost of Bridges and Major Thoroughfares.
Whenever a building permit is required by this Code, the Chief Building
Official shall, as a condition precedent to approval of the building permit, re-
quire that the applicant pay any applicable fees established pursuant to the
provisions of Section 66484 of the Government Code and Section 19~24.1441b) of the
South San Francisco Municipal Code for the purpose of defraying the actual or
estimated cost of constructing bridges over waterways, railways, freeways and
canyons, or constructing major thoroughfares."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY,
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance
is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall
not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining portion of this
ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this
Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase hereof,
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences,
clauses or phrases be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper
of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law,
and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
this27th day of November, 1985, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, John "Jack" Drago, Gus Nicolopulos;
and Roberta Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Richard A. Haffey
