Mayor Nicolas called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

ADMINISTRATIVE BUSINESS
1. Report regarding the City of South San Francisco Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2023-24.
(Karen Chang, Director of Finance)
Director of Finance Chang presented the report. She provided an overview of the current budget, the
proposed budget for 2023-2024, and highlighted new fiscal budget requests by department. Council
asked questions and engaged in discussions with City Manager Ranals and department head staff
members, with direction to change the title of District Outreach budget to District Engagement Fund.
In addition, staff will provide Council with a summary of grants received utilizing Federal Advocacy
services.
2. Report regarding proposed Capital Improvement Program for fiscal year 2023-24. (Eunejune
Kim, Director of Public Works/City Engineer and Matthew Ruble, Principal Engineer)
Principal Engineer Ruble presented the report. He provided an overview of the proposed Capital
Improvement Program by project type and category. Council shared their excitement for the proposed
projects and provided suggestions and feedback to staff.

Being no further business Mayor Nicolas adjourned the meeting at 8:32 p.m.
