AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO AMENDING CHAPTER 2.78 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO APPOINTMENTS OF THE CONFERENCE
CENTER AUTHORITY MEMBERS AND LIMITING CONTRACTUAL POWERS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
South San Francisco Municipal Code §2.78.030(c) (2) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"(2) Two (2) representatives from hotels located within
the City limits of South San Francisco; and"
SECTION 2.
South San Francisco Municipal Code §2.78.030(c) (4) is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"(3) One (1) representative from the air transportation
industry associated with the San Francisco Airport; and"
SECTION 3.
Subsection (k) is hereby added to §2.78.100 to read as
follows:
"(k) Limitation of contractual powers. The Authority shall
serve as an advisory body only with respect to contractual
agreements with South San Francisco Hotel/Motels. All
agreements with South San Francisco Hotel/Motels shall be
approved by the City Council".
SECTION 4.
SEVERABILITY
In the event any section or portion of this ordinance shall be
determined invalid or unconstitutional, such section or portion
shall be deemed severable and all other sections or portions hereof
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. Publication and Effective Date.
This ordinance shall be published once, with the names of
those City Councilmembers voting for or against it, for at least
fifteen (15) days, in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of
general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required
by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after
its adoption.

a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco, held the 13th day of 0ct0ber , 1993, by the
following vote:

Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R. Penna,
Robert Yee, and Mayor Roberta Cerri Teglia
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
As Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, I do hereby
approve the foregoing Ordinance this 13th day of 0ct0ber
1993.
