AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3.12.010 OF THE SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADD, DELETE AND AMEND SPECIFIED
POSITIONS
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby ordain as follows:
$~CTION 1.
1. Section 3.12.010, subsection (a)(1)is hereby amended by adding the following positions:
Personnel Analyst, Personnel Technician, Revenue & Contract Compliance Auditor, and
Assistant Director of Finance.
2. Section 3.12.010(a)(1) is hereby amended by deleting the following positions:
Communications Supervisor, Landscape Architect, Legal Secretary I, Legal Secretary II,
Personnel Assistant, Revenue Technician, Clfief Accountant, and Permit Processing Coordinator.
3. Section 3.12.010(a)(2) is hereby amended to add the following positions:
Project Read Director, Library Program Manager, and Student/Tutor Coordinator.
4. Section 3.12.010(a)(2) is hereby amended to delete the following positions:
Librarian III and Literacy Program Assistant.
5. Section 3.12.0100)(3)0) is hereby amended by adding the following position.
Police Evidence/property Specialist and Police Recruit.
6. Section 3.12.010(a)(4) is hereby amended by adding the following positions:
Capital Project Coordinator.
7. Section 3.12.010(a)(4) is hereby amended by deleting the following position:
Storm Water Management Coordinator.
'8. Section 3.12.010(a)(5) is hereby amended by adding the following positions:
Assistant Plant Superintendent-WQCP and Storm Water Management Coordinator and
Source Control Supervisor.
9. Section 3.12.010(a)(6) is hereby amended by adding the following position:
Superintendent of Parks and Facilities

Electrician.
Section 3.12.010(a)(7) is hereby amended by adding the following positions:
Instmmem Technician, Assistant Plant Electrician, Assistant Plant Mechanic, and Plant
11. Section 3.12.010(a)(7) is hereby further amended by deleting the following positions:
Assistant Mechanic/Electrical, Mechanic/Electrician, and Maintenance Worker II.
SECTION 2.
1. Section 3.12.010(b) is hereby amended by adding the following positions:
City Engineer, Manager of Housing and Community Development, Director of Parks,
Recreation and Maintenance Services, Director of Public Works, Director of Human Resources,
Executive Assistant to the City Manager, and Police Corporal.
2. Section 3.12.010(b) is hereby amended by deleting the following positions:
Community Development Block Grant Coordinator, Director of Parks, Recreation and
Community Services, Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Personnel Director, and Secretary to City
Manager.
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY
In the event any section or portion of this ordiname shall be detennired invalid or umomfi~o~, such
section or portion shall be deemed severable and all other sectiom or portiom hereof shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 4. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Councilmembers voting for
or against it, in the San Mateo Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San
Francisco, as required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.
Introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held the24th day

Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council held
the gth day of ,hJly ,1998 by the following vote:
