HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1243-1999ORDINANCE NO. 1243-99 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 20.59 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR PROPERTY IN THE OYSTER POINT MARINA SPECIFIC PLAN DISTRICT. The City of South San Francisco does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1: Chapter 20.59, Section 20.59.030 (a) (5) is hereby amended to read: "(5) Public park, related uses, such as parking lots and park service buildings, and parking related to a full-service hotel, such as a parking garage. Parcels 3,9,11"; and Section 2: Chapter 20.59, Section 20.59.040 (d), is hereby amended to read: "Building height shall not exceed fifty feet except on parcel 3 which shall not exceed one hundred and fifty feet in height", and Section 3: Chapter 20.59, Section 20.59.040 (e) (2) is hereby amended to read: "20.59.040 (e) (2) (A) Public park, marina, private club, harbor master building, fishing pier, launch ramp, full-service hotel and other public uses and facilities"; and Section 4: Chapter 20.59, Section 20.59.040 (e) (1) is hereby amended to read: "All parking facilities on each site in the specific plan area shall be sufficient to serve the uses conducted on each such site. Off-street parking spaces shall be provided in accordance with the minimum standards set forth in subsection (e) (2) of this section taking into account any shared parking which may result from staggering of peak activity periods between adjacent or mixed uses. Full-service hotels located on Parcel 3 and a portion of Parcel 9 may be allowed to provide off-street parking at a one-room to one-space ratio by implementing a parking management plan subject to the approval of the Planning Commission. Parking shall include a reasonable number of spaces to accommodate handicapped persons. Except as otherwise provided in the section, parking shall be maintained in accordance with Chapter 20.74 of this code". Section 5: SEVERABILITY In the event that any section or portion of this ordinance shall be determined invalid or unconstitutional, such sections or portions shall be deemed severable and all other sections or portions hereof shall remain in full force and effect. Section 6: PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall be published once, with the names of those City Councilmembers voting for or against it, in the San Mateo Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Francisco, as required by law, and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and after its adopted.
