RESOLUTION NO. 04-2007
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO LEASE
WITH SITIKE COUNSELING CENTER EXTENDING THE
LEASE FOR FIVE YEARS
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco
("Agency") currently leases to Sitike Counseling Center, a California nonprofit public benefit
corporation ("Sitike"), the entire first floor of that certain building located at 306 Spruce
A venue, South San Francisco, CA, pursuant to that certain Retail Lease Agreement dated
December 2, 1996 (the "Lease"); and
WHEREAS, the original term of the Lease expired February 28,2007; and
WHEREAS, Sitike has exercised its option to extend the tenn of the Lease for five
(5) years commencing March 1,2007, through February 28,2012; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a proposed Amendment to Lease attached hereto as Exhibit
A, the term of the Lease would be extended for an additional five (.5) years under the same
terms and conditions contained in the Lease except that the rent will remain at the current
rate of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty-Two and 75/1 00 Dollars ($6,882.75) for the first
two years of the extended term and will increase by 5% per year for each year thereafter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of South San Francisco that the Agency does hereby:
1. Approve the Amendment to Lease by and between the Agency and Sitike attached
hereto as Exhibit A; and
2. Authorize the Executive Director or his designee to execute the Amendment to Lease
substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A and to take such other actions
reasonably necessary to carry out the intent of this Resolution.

I hereby certifY that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13 th
day of June, 2007 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Joseph A. Fernekes and Karvl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
