RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATIONS
FOR THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SHORELINE
PROTECTION AND CONNECTIVITY PROJECT
FEASIBILITY STUDY
WHEREAS, there is an identified area of South San Francisco at risk from coastal flooding caused
by storm driven waves and sea level rise; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes a feasibility study to investigate sea level rise preventative measures
and connectivity opportunities to protect the community; and
WHEREAS, staff requests the City Council approve all future grant applications for the South San
Francisco Shoreline Protection and Connectivity Project feasibility study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby authorizes all future grant applications for the South San Francisco Shoreline Protection and
Connectivity Project feasibility study.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to take any
other related actions consistent with the intention of the resolution and accompanying staff report, including
executing any grant applications or agreements, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
At a meeting of the City Council on 3/13/2024, a motion was made by Councilmember Nicolas,
seconded by Councilmember Nagales, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
