Adminstrative Business  Selected a new Chair, Michael Nilmeyer and ViceChair Person, Chris Mateo  Reviewed the proposed landscaping plan change for 101 Gull Avenue 2. OWNER The City of South San Francisco APPLICANT The City of South San Francisco ADDRESS Orange Memorial Park PROJECT NUMBER P23-0029: DR23-0007 PROJECT NAME OMP – Orange Memorial Park Aquatic Center (Case Planner: Adena Friedman) DESCRIPTION Design Review and CEQA determination to construct a new Aquatic Center at Orange Memorial Park in the Parks and Recreation (PR) Zoning District in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board liked the proposed design concept. 2. The Board would like to see a more activated area behind the outdoorpool windscreen with a pedestrian walkway or seating areas to engage and activate the area. 3. Add some articulation to the windscreenwall facing out towards the playing fields to help break up the long flat wall. Add some different material finishes. 4. Review the corner element where the aquatic sign is being proposed, as the area looks unbalance and with a disconnected appearance. 5. Consider planting the trees around the pool furtherback to keep the winds from blowing the leavesinto the outdoor pool and creating maintenance issues. The Board will review a more detailed plan during the Design Drawings phase. 3. OWNER Vincent Busalacchi APPLICANT Robert Medan ADDRESS 1113 Miller Avenue PROJECT NUMBER P23-0018: DR23-0005 PROJECT NAME Remodel and Expansion to an existing Single-Family Dwelling (Case Planner: Victoria Kim) DESCRIPTION Design Review for a remodel and expansion to an existing Single Family Dwelling unit at 1113 Miller Avenue in the Low Residential Density (RL-8) Zoning District in accordance with Title 20 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code and determination that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA. The Board had the following comments: 1. The Board liked the design concept with the color rendering that was presented. 2. The proposed design helps improve the appearance of the home. 3. Consider matchingthe same color material with the newroof. 4. Add a street tree in the front yard and share a landscaping plan for the DRB to review via email.Select low to medium plant species. 5. Consider adding solor panels to the design. Recommend Approval with Conditions 4. Miscellaneous - none
