HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3632-1962RESOLUTION NO. 363~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPER- VISORS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO JOIN WITH THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO IN REQUESTING THE' STATE DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS TO STUDY A CROSSING OF PRESENT JUNIPERO SERRA BOULEVARD AND A SEPARATION OF PRO- POSED JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY AT SAN FELIPE AVENUE EXTENSION OR GENERAL VICINITY WHEREAS, the proposed General Plans of South San Fran- cisco and the County of San Mateo show a need for a grade separation of the proposed extension of San Felipe, and WHEREAS, the traffic circulation of South San Francisco and the Lands of Christensen would be better served if this separation were made, and WHEREAS, there is'a need to serve local traffic at this point by extending San Felipe alongside the present Serra Elementary School to the west and extend San Felipe to the E1 Camino High School to the east, and WHEREA~., the projected traffic volumes for 1980 as applied to the Preliminary General Plan Street System for South San Francisco shows a need for these crossings.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said Council by this resolution requests the Board of Supervisors of San Marco County to join them in a request to the State Division of Highways for a study of a proposed extension of San Felipe Avenue (or general vicinity) to the west across Junipero Serra Boulevard and proposed Junipero Serra Freeway, provid- ing therefor a grade separation. , I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City CounCil of the City of South San Francisco at a held this 3rd day of by the following vote: regular meet ing December , 19 62 , AYES, COUNCILMEN Leo J.
