A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF COUNCIL-COM-
MISSION CONFERENCES AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICES, AGENDAS,
MINUTES AND REPORTS CONCERNING SAID CONFERENCES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that:
WHEREAS, the City Council in performing the policy-making
function for the City has available the advice and recommend-
ations of the respective Boards and Commissions of said' City
usually forwarded through written memorandums or resolutions,
and
WHEREAS, conferences between the City Council and the
policy-recommending Commissions and Boards may serve to in-
crease the effectiveness and efficiency of the policy-making
function so as to further improve the quality of City Govern-
ment, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to schedule such. confer-
ences between the Council, Commissions and Boards for said
purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED:
1. A schedule of conferences between the City Council
and the respective Commissions and Boards of the City is he,e-
by established for South San Francisco.
The conference meetings, as shown in the following
schedule, shall be held once each month except as hereinafter
provided on the day of the second regular Council meeting for
said month in the Council Conference Room at 9 o'clock P.M.:

(g) July

(i) September
(j) October
(k) November
(1) December

2. The scheduled dates for the meetings as hereinbefore
set forth may be changed by the Mayor upon reasonable notice
to the members of the City Council and the Commission or Board
scheduled to meet with the City Council.
3. The Commission or Board scheduled for conference
shall not less than ten days prior co said conference meeting
file with the City Clerk either (1) a notice that said Com-
mission or Board submits no items for agenda, or (2) the pro-
posed agenda for the conference meeting. Should said Com-
mission or Board file a proposed agenda, the Mayor shall con-
firm or modify on or before the eighth day prior to the con-

ference meeting, and the City Clerk shall deliver or cause
to be delivered, a copy of the confirmed or modified agenda
to the City Councilmen, members of the Commission or Board
scheduled for the conference meeting, City Manager and other
parties concerned. Should the Commission or Board file a
notice that no items will be submitted or fail to file a
proposed agenda, th, Mayor may cancel said conference meet-
ing.
4. The City Clerk shall maintain a record of the
minutes of the meetings.
5. On or before January lOth and July lOth of each year
the City Council, Board, Commission, officer or employee
charged with the performance of an item of business upon
which action has been agreed upon in a conference meeCing
shall file with the City Clerk a report as to the status or
disposition of the item of business and said report shall be
circulated to the City Council, Board or Commissio, concerned.
6. Resolution No.3115 is hereby rescinded.
