HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3751-1963RESOLUTION NO. 3751 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR SALARY INCREASES FOR FIS- CAL YEAR 1963-64 WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the employees' con- tribution to good government in South San Francisco by their efficient and courteous attention to duty, and, WHEREAS, in the past year the employees have aided the City Council's effort to operate economically, so that ser- vices to the taxpayers may be expanded by savings rather than increased taxes, and, WHEREAS, because of these facts and because wages throughout industry, business and government are being re- vised to meet the increase in the cost of living and the City Council deems it fitting and proper to provide for in- creases and adjustments of employees' salaries for the fiscal year 1963-64; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby order that salaries for employees of the City of South San Francisco for the pay period commencing August 1, 1963 and thereafter through fiscal year 1963-64 shall be increased and adjusted as set forth in the City Manager's Inter-Office Memorandum dated August 5, 1963, entitled "Schedule of Salary Increases 1963-64", and said employees are hereby assigned the appropriate increment in their range or as otherwise designated in the referenced memorandum except that only for the pay period of August 1, 1963 to August 15, 1963, said 1963-64 salaries shall be further increased, by adding to said 1963-64 salaries of all employees: The sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay period July 1, 1963, to July 15, 1963, and the sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay period of July 15, 1963 to July 31, 1963. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the regular day of August , City of South San Francisco at a meeting held on the 5th 19 63, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E.
