A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO REGARDING THE REQUEST OF THE RESIDENTS
OF THE INHABITED AREA ADJACENT TO THE "WESTBOROUGH AN-
NEXATION''
BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that
WHEREAS, the City Council is presently considering
the annexation of an uninhabited area which is designated
the "Westborough Annexation" in pending proceedings, and,
WHEREAS, The Westborough Homeowners Association, Inc.
represents the residents in an inhabited area containing
124.4 acres, more or less, which area is adjacent
to the southwesterly boundary of the "Westborough
Annexation", and,
WHEREAS, upon completion of the "Westborough Annex-
ation'' said inhabited area will be contiguous to the bounda-
ries of the City of South San Francisco, thereby presenting
to the residents of said area an opportunity to undertake
proceedings to annex said area to South San Francisco, and,
WHEREAS, said Association is desirous of obtaining an
expression from the City Council with regard to their under-
taking such proceedings, and the City Council desires to
make such an expression.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does by this resolution declare that it wel-
comes the expression of interest in annexing to the City of
South San Francisco at some future time made by the residents
of the inhabited area which is adjacent to the "Westborough
Annexation" and assures the residents that should such an
undertaking be made in compliance with the annexation laws
of the State of California the staff of the City of South
San Francis¢o'will cooperate in said undertaking to the
extent permitted by law, and the Council does further as-
sure said residents that it will be gratified if any such
proceedings results in a determination that said inhabited
area be annexed to the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
