HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3812-1963RESOLUTION NO. 3812 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ESTABLISHING CERTAIN TRAFFIC REGULATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND EOR ORDINANCE ORDINANCE NO. 491 BE IT RESOLVED MYlthe City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: I. ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS. In accordance with Ordinance No. 491, Article VII, Section 7, the City Council does hereby designate the following one-way streets and alleys in the City of South San Francisco: A. CIRCLE COURT: Circle Court between Eucalyptus Avenue and Orange Avenue is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. B. CYPRESSAVENUE: Cypress Avenue between Baden Avenue and Armour Avenue is hereby established as a one-way street with ve- hicular traffic permitted to travel in only a north- erly direction. C. FOURTH LANE: Between Linden and Maple Avenues. Fourth Lane between Linden and Maple Avenues is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only a westerly direction. Between Spruce and Walnut Avenues. Fourth Lane between Spruce and Walnut Avenues is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. Between Linden and Cypress Avenues. Fourth Lane between Linden and Cypress Avenues is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. D. JUNIPER AVENUE: Juniper Avenue between Linden and Cypress Avenues is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. E. SECOND LANE: Second Lane between Linden Avenue and Airport Boule- vard is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. F. THIRD LANE: Between Linden Avenue and Cypress Avenue. Third Lane between Linden Avenue and Cypress Avenue is hereby established as a one-way street with v~hicular traffic permitted to travel in only an easterly direction. Between Linden Avenue and Maple Avenue. ThirdLane between Linden Avenue and Maple Avenue is hereby established as a one-way street with vehicular traffic permitted to travel in only a westerly direction. II. SPECIAL STOPS REQUIRED - THROUGH STREETS, INTERSECTIONS AND RAILROAD WAY GRADE CROSSINGS: A. THROUGH STREETS: In accordance with Ordinance No. 491, Article VIII, Section 8, the following are designated as through streets in the City of South San Francisco: 1. AIRPORT BOULEVARD: Airport Boulevard between the northerly City limits and southerly Airport. Boulevard limits except for the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Baden Avenue and Airport Boulevard and Grand Avenue, and Airport Boulevard and Linden Avenue, northbound and southbound for left turn onto freeway. 2. CHESTNUT A~q~NUE: T 11~ T 3 r i Chestnut Avenue between Grand Avenue and Hillside Boulevard. 3. EAST GRAND AVENUE: East Grand Avenue between Airport Boulevard and Fuller Paint Company. 4. GRAND AVENUE: Grand Avenue between Mission Road and Spruce Avenue except for the intersection of Grand and Orange Avenues and the intersection of Grand and Spruce Avenues and Grand and Chestnut Avenues. 5. HICKEY BOULEVARD: Hickey Boulevard between E1 Camino Real and Junipero Serra Boulevard. 6. HILLSIDE BOULEVARD: Hillside Boulevard between Linden Avenue and the northwesterly City limits. 7. LINDEN AVENUE: Linden Avenue between Airport Boulevard and Miller Avenue and between Baden Avenue and Railroad Avenue. 8. MISSION ROAD: Mission Road between Chestnut Avenue and the north- westerly City limits except for the intersection of Mission Road and Grand Avenue. 9. NORTHWOOD DRIVE: Northwood Drive between Hazelwood and Briarwood Drives except for the intersection of Northwood Drive and Ravenwood Way. 10. ORANGE AVENUE: Orange Avenue between Grand Avenue and Railroad Avenue. 11. SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD: South Airport Boulevard between Freeway Street and southern City limits. 12. SOUTH SPRUCE AVENUE: South Spruce Avenue between Railroad Avenue and E1 Camino Real. RAILROAD CROSSINGS: In accordance with Ordinance No. 491, Article VIII, Section 8, the following are designated as railroad grade crossings in the City of South San Francisco at which vehicles are required to stop: 1. Airport Boulevard At Southern Pacific crossing underpass. 2. Butler Road 59 feet west of Industrial Way east curb. 261 feet west of Eccles Avenue west curb. 3. Chestnut Avenue 41 feet west of Mission Road west curb. 4. East Grand Avenue 306 feet east of Airport Boulevard east curb. At Littlefield Avenue At Harbor Way and Eccles Avenue 5. East Harris Avenue 304 feet east of Harbor Way east curb. 6. Eccles Avenue 421 feet west of Sperry Avenue At Sperry Avenue. 7. Harbor Way 361 feet north of East Harris Avenue north curb. 8. Industrial Way 167 feet south of Butler Road south curb. 536 feet south of Butler Road south c~mb. 9. NO PARKING AREAS: In accordance with Ordinance No, 491, Article XI, Section 11,3 (d), the following are hereby established 'as no-parking areas in the City of South San Francisco: A. AIRPORT BOULEVARD: East side of Airport Boulevard from Grand Avenue to Pine Avenue Southern Pacific crossing underpass, both sides. B. BADEN AVENUE: South side of Baden Avenue from Airport Boulevard to Linden Avenue. 5. C. BUTLER ROAD: North side of Butler Road from Government Warehouse to beach. D. CHESTNUT AVENUE: West side from Hillside Boulevard to Grand Avenue during school hours E. DUBUQUE AVENUE: On west side for entire length F. EAST GRAND AVENUE: North side of East Grand Avenue from Airport Boule- vard to 399 feet east of Industrial Way east curb South side of East Grand Avenue from Airport Boule- vard to northbound freeway Off Ramp G. FREEWAY STREET: Both sides H. GRAND AVENUE: North side of Grand Avenue - all of the 91 feet west of Spruce Avenue, west curb I. LINDEN AVENUE: East side of Linden Avenue from Baden Avenue to South Canal J. MISSION ROAD: North side from Chestnut Avenue to Sequoia Avenue South side from Oak Avenue to Chestnut Avenue K. NORTH CANAL STREET: South side of North Canal Street from Linden Avenue to Spruce Avenue L. NORTHWOOD DRIVE: West side of Northwood Drive from Hazelwood Drive to Alida Way M. RAILROAD AVENUE: South side of Railroad Avenue from Maple Avenue to Linden Avenue IV. DIAGONAL PARKING ZONES: In accordance with Ordinance No. 491, Article 12.4, the following streets are designated as diagonal parking zones in the City of South San Francisco: A. Grand Avenue from Airport Boulevard to Spruce except for the north-easterly side of Grand Avenue between Walnut Avenue and Spruce Avenue which shall be parallel parking zone. V. PARKING METER ZONES: In accordance with Ordinance No. 491, Article XV, Section 15, the streets or portions of streets and municipal parking lots contained within the area set forth on the map entitled "PARKING METER ZONES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO" referred to as Exhibit A, attached hereto, and by reference incorporated herein, are hereby approved and established as parking meter zones in the City of South San Francisco. VI. SPECIAL SPEED ZONES - INCREASE OF SPEED LIMIT: A. INCREASING SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN ZONES. In accordance with Article XVIII, Section 18, the Prima Facie speed limit on the streets listed below in the City of South San Francisco shall be as set forth below: Name of Street or Portion affected Declared Prima Facie Speed Limit (miles per hour) A. Airport Boulevard from the northerly to the southerly City limit B. East Grand Avenue from Airport Boulevard - east end of East Grand Avenue C. Freeway Street - for the entire length thereof D. Hickey Boulevard from the intersection with E1 Camino Real to the westerly City limit E. Hillside Boulevard westbound from Randolph Avenue to westerly City limit F. South Linden Avenue from the intersection with Railroad Avenue to the southerly City limit H.
