A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE FILING
OF AN APPLICATION FOR A PLANNING GRANT PUR-
SUANT TO THE PUBLIC LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT ACT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the Chief Librarian, Lauretta
Hussar, is hereby authorized to make and execute an applic-
ation for a planning grant pursuant to AB 590, provided
said application contains a provision that the filing of
said application or the use of or benefits from any funds
granted pursuant thereto shall not obligate the City of
South San Francisco or the South San Francisco Public
Library to participate in or become part of a "system" as
defined in said Act, and the City of South San Francisco
and the South San Francisco Public Library shall not be
obligated to refund all, or any part of, the funds granted
pursuant to the planning grant application, the understand-
ing being that the purpose of the application and grant is
to accomplish a study and report on which the South San
Francisco Public Library and other libraries may elect a
course of action.
