HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3855-1964RESOLUTION NO. 3855 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING THAT A MAJOR- ITY PROTEST HAS NOT BEEN MADE IN THE LANDS OF MAZZANTI ET AL. RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that, WHEREAS, on the 16th day of said Council in its Resolution No383~ December , 19.93, entitled "A Reso- lution Giving Notice Of Proposed Annexation To City of South San Francisco Of Uninhabited Territory Described Here- in and Designated 'Lands of Mazzanti et al.', And Giving Notice Of The Time And Place For Hearing Of Protest Thereto", undertook proceedings on petition of the owners of said Un- inhabited territory to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of South San Francisco and fixed the time and' place for protest in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; said time and place being 8 o'clock p.m., February 3, 1964, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Grand and Maple Avenues, South San Francisco, California, and further written notice of such proposed annexation was mailed and given to all other parties as required by Section 35311 (a), (b) not less than twenty days prior to said public hearing, all as shown by affidavits on file in the office of the City Clerk, and, WHEREAS, said matter came on regularly for hearing at the time fixed in said Resolution, and, WHEREAS, no written protests were received and all per- sons desiring to be heard were fully heard. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows: EXHIBIT "A" Annexation - Lands of Mazzanti et al. BEGINNING at a point in the corporate limits of the City of South San Francisco, as said limits were established by that certain resolution and order dated August 17, 1908, declaring said City incorporated, said point also being the intersection of the Southwesterly prolongation of the Southerly line of Oak Avenue with the Westerly line of Mission Road, referred to in said incorporation as the "Westerly line of the main County Road leading from San Francisco to San Jose"; thence from said point of beginning Northwesterly along said corporate limits and said Westerly line 1150 feet, more or less, to the intersection there- of with the Northwesterly line of that certain tract of land described in Deed from Spring Valley Water Company, to the City and County of San Francisco, (Parcel 21) recorded March 3rd, 1930, in Volume 491 of Official Records of San Mateo County page 1 and the true point of beginning of the lands to be des- cribed hereini thence from said true point of beginning North- westerly along said Westerly line of County Road and said corporate limits and continuing along the corporate limits of the City of South San Francisco, as established by that certain Ordinance No. 303 of the City of South San Francisco annexing Mission Gardens to said City, adopted on September 12, 1950 as follows: North 44° 20' West 28 feet, more or less, to the Northwesterly line of a private road leading from the ~Flood and Mackay Tract'~ ~o the . said County Road, North 44° 20' West 250 feet, North 48 501 West 200 feet, North 54° 00' West 527 feet, North 46° 19' West 300 feet, North 45° 31' West 200 feet, North 43° 41' West 150 feet, North 42° 45' West 45 feet to the Southeasterly line of a private road leading from the lands of H. Miller to the said County Road and continuing along said corporate limit lime North 42 45' West to the Northwesterly line of said private road; thence con- tinuing along said Westerly line of County Road and said existing corporate limit line North 42° 45' West 113.3 feet; thence leav- ing said Westerly line of the corporate limits bezng also the Westerly line of the County Road, South 40° 31' West 92.5 feet to the Easterly line of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company; thence along said Easterly line of the right of way, as follows: South 50° 33' East 518 feet, South 48° 15' East 166 feet, South 45° 30' East 147.5 feet, South 44° 13' East 150 feet, South 42o 16' East 150 feet, South 40° 12' East 180 feet, South 46° 32' East 210.0 feet, South 76° 20' East 24 feet South 47° 15' East 30 feet, South 15° 28' East 23 feet, South 4g° 50' East 79 feet, South 54° 34' West 67.5 feet and South 30° 08' East 192 feet to the said Northwesterly line of lands of City and County of San Francisco (Parcel 21); thence Easterly, leav- ing said Easterly line of the right of way, of the Southern Paci- fic Railroad Company and along said Northwesterly line of Parcel 21, North 40° 26' East 240 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning. That the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco does declare that no majority protest against the annexation entitled "Lands of Mazzanti et al." has been made by owners of property within the territory proposed to be annexed, which territory is more particularly des- cribed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. the City of South San Francisco at a meeting held on the 3rd day of 1964 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of regular Februar~ NOES, " ABSENT, " Patrick E.
