RESOLUTION NO. 14-2008
CITY COUNCIL AND REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROGRAlVl FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008-2009
IS CONSISTENT WITH THE GENERAL PLAN,
AUTHORIZING APPROV AL OF THE PROGRAM, AND
APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND
CONSTRUCTION ADVERTISING FOR PROJECTS UNDER
THIS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City Council approve the Capital Improvelnent
Progran1 for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 ("CIP") and also approve plans, specifications and
construction adve1iising for projects under the progrmn; and
WHEREAS, the progran1 funding will only include fiscal year 2008-2009 and the
projects in the future years will be appropriated in future budget cycles; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this CIP pursuant to Goven1illent
Code Section 65401 and adopted a resolution as to consistency with the City's adopted General
Plan with provisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has detennined that the CIP is consistent with the City's
adopted General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the total CIP budget for this fiscal year, including prior appropriations,
will be $67,242,700; and
WHEREAS, upon adoption of the CIP, Council is also approving the plans and
specifications for projects within this program and authorizing the solicitation of construction
bids; and
WHEREAS, a duly notice public hearing was held pursuant to the requirements of
Goven1illent Code Section 66002; and
WHEREAS, this CIP is consistent with the requirements of GoveD1illents Code Section
6602, and includes the approximate location, size, time of availability, and estimates of cost for
the facilities or improvelnents to be finances with those fees imposed pursuant to GoveD1illent
Code Section 66001, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the approval of the CIP is not a "project" subject to review under
California Envirol1illental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the State
CEQA Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the total CIP budget for this fiscal year will be $55,911,300 of which
$55,911,300 is in prior appropriations and $11,331,400 is in new appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes approval of the Capital Improvelnent Progran1
for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 and also approves plans, specifications and construction adveliising
for proj ects under the pro gran1.

I hereby celiify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at a special n1eeting held on the
25th day of June 2008 by the following vote:
