CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
1999-2000 OPERATION BUDGET (NO. 00-7a) TO INCREASE
THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET BY $133,888
WHEREAS, staff recommends authorizing an amendment to the 1999-2000 Operating
budget (No. 00-7a) to increase the Fire Department Budget by $133,888 for the cost of (1)
moving up the hiring date for a Code Enforcement Office from July 1, 2000 to January 1, 2000,
(2) authorize the continuation of the use of a contract employee(s) to perform building
inspection/plan reviews and (3) purchase an office trailer to provide additional work and storage
space for Fire Prevention/Building until a long-time solution is identified.
WHEREAS, funding is available from the General Fund undesignated reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to the 1999-2000 Operating
Budget (No. 00-7a) to increase the Fire Department budget by $133,888.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 10th
_ day of November , 1999 by the following vote:

Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Eugene R. Mullin and John
R. Penna, Mayor Pro Tem Karyl Matsumoto, and Mayor James L. Datzman
