CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND LINDA HOFFMAN OF GLIDED IMAGERY
DESIGN AND PRODUCTIONS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 TO
PRODUCE SEVENTEEN (17) MURAL PANELS TO BE INSTALLED AT 500
GRAND AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into an agreement with Linda Hoffman of Guided
Imagery Design and Products in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 to produce seventeen (17)
mural panels to be installed at 500 Grand Avenue; and
WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of September 16, 1999, the Cultural Arts
Commission approved a proposal from artist Linda Hoffman to paint seventeen (17) "window"
murals on the upper faqade of the commercial building at the comer of Grand and Spruce
Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the goal is to transform the building into a more visually interesting part of
the streetscape that will contribute to a positive image of the City; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is available in the Cultural Arts Commission Act
Acquisition Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes an agreement between the City of South San
Francisco and Linda Hoffman of Guided Imagery Design and Productions in an amount not to
exceed $25,000.00 to produce seventeen (17) mural panels to be installed at 500 Grand Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to
execute the agreement on behalf of the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 10 th
_ day of November, 1999 by the following vote:
