CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A BAIL FEE (PENALTY)
FOR VIOLATIONS OF MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION
11.40.225
WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code Section 40203.5 requires the City Council to
establish the schedule of parking penalties for parking violations committed within the City of
South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 1253-99 which adds Section
11.40.225 (Specific Complaint Streets within Commercial and Industrial Areas) to Municipal
Code Chapter 11.40; and
WHEREAS, Section 11.40.225 sets forth a new category of parking violations and thus
requires the establishment of parking penalties therefor; and
WHEREAS, this resolution will incorporate the penalty officially into the City's bail fee
schedule.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby authorizes the establishment of parking penalties for violations of Municipal
Code Section 11.40.225 (Specific Complaint Streets) of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the
first violation, three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the second violation, and four hundred dollars
($400.00) for the third and subsequent violations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby directs the City Manager or
his designated representative to present Turbo Data, the City's parking ticket processor, a
certified copy of this Resolution setting forth the City Council's direction that these proposed
parking penalties be added to the existing bail fee (penalty) schedule for citations issued for
Municipal Code parking violation within the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re~ul ar meeting held on the 8

AYES: Councilmembers Eugene Mullin, John Penna, James
Mayor Pro Tem Fmrnekos and Mayor Matsumoto
NOES: None.
ABSTAIN: Nrme.
