CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING A CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN
TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS, INC. (ATS) FOR RED LIGHT PHOTO
ENFORCEMENT
WHEREAS, intersection traffic violations and accidents remain a problem for the City; and
WHEREAS, red light photo enforcement programs have been shown to successfully reduce
violations and collisions; and
WHEREAS, the red light program operated by ATS is cost effective; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends ratifying the contract with American Traffic Solutions, Inc.
("ATS") for red light photo enforcement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby ratifies the contract with ATS.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of January,
2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Kevin Mullin and Mayor Mark Addie~o
