HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 123-1998 RESOLUTION NO. 123-98 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO FEDERAL LIBRARY SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGY ACT GRANTS TOTALING $94,900.00 AND ONE GRANT TOTALING $10,000.00 FROM THE ATKINSON FOUNDATION AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1998-99 OPERATING BUDGET (NO. 99-3) WHEREAS, staff desires to accept two federal Library Services and Technology Act grants totaling $94,900.00 and one grant totaling $10,000.00 from the Atkinson Foundation; and WHEREAS, these grants would be used to support specific projects for Project Read and the Community Learning Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes the acceptance of two federal Library Services and Technology Act grants totaling $94,900.00, and one grant totaling $10,000.00 from the Atkinson Foundation for the Community Learning Center. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves an amendment to the 1998-99 Operating Budget (NO. 99-3) to add $104,900 to the Library budget. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§ul ar meeting held on the 14th day of 0ct. obor ,1998 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers James L.
