CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $20,195
IN GRANT :FUNDING FROM THE FY09 EDWARD BYRNE
MEMORIAL JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM AND
AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S 2009/2010
OPERATING BUDGET.
WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of grant funding in the amount of $20,195
from the FY09 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program for the purchase and
equipment and supplies related to the management of evidence requiring long term storage or special
handling and amending the Police Department's operating budget for the fiscal year 2009/10; and
WHEREAS, the grant funding will be used to augment the operating budget of the Police
Department for FY 2009/2010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts $20,195 in grant funding from the FY09 Edward
Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program and amends the 2009/2010 Police Department
Operating Budget to reflect this increase of funds.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the l Ot" day of March,
2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Karel Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Kevin Mullin and Mayor Mark Addiego
NOES: None
