CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1998-99
OPERATING BUDGET (No. 99-4) RELATED TO LITIGATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City is presently involved in the following litigation matters: Hutchings v.
South San Francisco, Patel v. South San Francisco, Sam Trans v. South San Francisco and South
San Francisco v. Atlas Heating and Plumbing; and
WHEREAS, a budget amendment is necessary to appropriate funds for these litigation services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. The City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to the 1998-1999 operating budget to
add $270,000 from the non designated general fund reserve to the City Attorney's
Department budget for litigation services involving Hutchings v. South San Francisco
($200,000), South San Francisco v. Atlas Heating and Plumbing ($50,000), Sam
Trans v. South San Francisco ($10,000), and
Patel v. South San Francisco ($10,000).
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regu l a r meeting held on the 14th day of__
