CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SUBMISSION OF A
GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE REGIONAL
BICYCLE PROGRAM FISCAL YEARS 2010-2011 AND
2011-2012
WHEREAS, staff recommends the support of a grant application to the City/County
Associates of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) for the Regional Bicycle Program,
fiscal years 2010/2011 and 2011/2012; and
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco
identified as the project for submittal by the
Advisory Committee (BPAC); and
Regional Gap Closure Project (Project) was
South San Francisco Bicycle and Pedestrian
WHEREAS, the total project cost for the Project is estimated at $307,400; and
WHEREAS, Project funding is limited to a minimum of $250,000 and to a maximum of
$500,000 and requires a 11.47% local match; and
WHEREAS, the City is requesting $272,000 in Regional Bicycle Program funding; and
WHEREAS, the Project will improve bicycle safety with the City of South San
Francisco.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby supports a grant application to the City/County
Associates of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) for the Regional Bicycle Program,
fiscal years 2010/2011 and 2011/2012.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of
April, 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A. Garbarino, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Kevin Mullin and Mayor Mark Addie~o
