CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWARD OF CONTRACT TO JMB CONSTRUCTION
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $96,750 FOR THE SAN BRUNO JETTY PROJECT AND
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 1998-99 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
BUDGET (99-3) TO INCREASE THE PROJECT BUDGET BY $40,000 TO COVER THE
CONSULTING FEES
WHEREAS, the City desires to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, JMB
Construction in an amount not to exceed $96,750; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting that the City Council amend the Capital Improvement Program budget (CIP
99-3) to increase the project budget by $40,000. to cover the consulting fees necessary to coordinate the
requirements with BCDC, Army Corps of Engineers, and to obtain the necessary permits; and
WHEREAS, this project is funded from a FEMA Grant for $110,000; and
WHEREAS, the requested additional funding in the amount of $40,000. will be from the Non-Designated
General Fund Reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the
City Council hereby authorizes an award of contract to JMB Construction in an amount not to exceed $96,750 and
approves an amendment to the 1998-99 Capital Improvement Program budget (CIP 99-3) to increase the project
budget by $40,000 to cover consulting fees for the San Bruno Jetty Project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a ro. gul a r meeting held on the 9th day of Dec. ,1998 by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Karvl Matsumoto, Eugene R.
Mullin, John R. Penna and Mayor James L. Datzman
