HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 151-1998 RESOLUTION NO. 151-98 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING DESTRUCTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS PURSUANT TO ELECTIONS CODE 17306 WHEREAS, Elections Code 17306 states that the final disposition of all voted ballot cards shall be determined by the elections official afXer being kept for six months from the date of the election or so long thereafter as any contest involving the vote at the election remains undetermined. WHEREAS, the following election records I hereto qualify for destruction pursuant to Elections Code 17306: Absentee Ballots for Special Municipal Election of April 8, 1986 (for City Treasurer), and Absentee Ballots for Special Municipal Election of December 12, 1995 (for Measure A) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Clerk may destroy the aforementioned election records. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§u ] ar meeting held on the 9th day of December' 1998, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Karyl Matsumoto, Eugene R. Mullin, John R. Penna and Mayor James L. Datzman NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None
