CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
APPROVE A 5% CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY TO THE
CONSTRUCTION BUDGET FOR THE WATER QUALITY
CONTROL PLANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of November 10, 1998, Council approved the award of
construction contract to Monterey Mechanical Inc., General Contractor; and
WHEREAS, 5% construction contingency was not referenced in the resolution; and
WHEREAS, staff desires that the 5% contingency fund be added to the construction contract for a
total construction budget of $43,400,000; and
WHEREAS, funding for this project is provided by a State Revolving Fund Loan to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the City Council hereby approves a 5% construction contingency for the Water Quality Control Plant
Improvement project.
