CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CAL~ORNIA
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING SETTLEMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Manager currently must seek approval of the City Council for claims
presented before the Human Resources Department; and
WHEREAS, providing the City Manager with the authority to settle such claims without City
Council approval will provide a more efficient process for resolving claim.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
The City Council vests within the City Manager authority to settle claims presented before
the Human Resources Department, including, but not limited to, claims for workers'
compensation benefits, up to but, not exceeding an amount of $30,000 per claim.
