CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT WITH JAMES RUSSELL IN THE AMOUNT OF
$35,000 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SCULPTURE ON THE
CALTRANS MEDIAN ON WESTBOROUGH AND JUNIPERO
SERRA BOULEVARDS
WHEREAS, staff recommends entering into an agreement with James Russell in the amount of
$35,000 for the installation of a sculpture on the Caltrans median on Westborough and Junipero Serra
Boulevards; and
WHEREAS, the $35,000 contract with Mr. Russell will be funded by the capital funds
administered by the Commission through the operating budget; and
WHEREAS, they carried over $20,000 from 1997/98 with $20,000 from 1998/99 to accomplish
this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the City Council authorizes the execution of an agreement with James Russell in the amount of
$35,000 for the installation of a sculpture on the Caltrans median on Westborough and Junipero Serra
Boulevard.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Reqular meeting held on the 10th day of February
__, 1999 by the following vote:
AYES:
Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Karyl ~tsumoto
Eugene R. Mullin and Mayor James L. Datzman
NOES:
None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Councilmember John R. Penna
