CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,563,300 TO G.E. CHEN
CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR PHASE XVIII OF THE AIRCRAFT
NOISE INSULATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City desires to award the construction contract to the lowest responsible
bidder, G.E. Chen Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $2,563,300; and
WHEREAS, this project is funded by the San Francisco International Airport through our
East of 101 Agreement and Memorandum of Understanding with the Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes an award of contract in an amount not to
exceed $2,563,300 to G.E. Chen Construction, Inc. for Phase XVIII of the Aircraft Noise
Insulation Program.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a Regular meeting held on the 10th
day of 1.1arch , 1999 by the following vote:
AYES:
Councilmembers Joseph A. Fernekes, Eugene R. Mullin, John
R. Penna, and garyl Matsumoto, and Mayor James. L. Datzman.
