HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 50-2010RESOLUTION NO. 50-2010 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION SUPPORTING SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL PROGRAM. WHEREAS, staff recommends the support of a grant application to the California Department of Transportation for the Safe Routes to School Program, Cycle 9, for improved pedestrian and bicycle access to Centennial Way for students at South San Francisco and El Camino High Schools ("Project"); and WHEREAS, the total project cost for the Project is estimated at $278,300; and WHEREAS, grant awards will be up to $450,000 and require a 10% match; and WHEREAS, the grant request amount will be determined based on the cost estimates of the agreed-upon project area, as well as the availability of matching funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby supports a grant application to the California Department of Transportation for the Safe Routes to School Program, Cycle 9, for improved pedestrian and bicycle access to Centennial Way for students at South San Francisco and El Camino High Schools. * * ~ I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and ado~ted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 23r day of June, 2010 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A.
