HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 52-2010RESOLUTION NO. 52-2010 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT TO NOLL & TAM ARCHITECTS AND PLANNERS FOR DESIGN SERVICES OF THE FIRE STATION 63 UPGRADES PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $168,557. WHEREAS, in March 2010, staff issued a Request for Proposals for design services for the Fire Station 63 Upgrades project ("Project"); and WHEREAS, staff received sixteen proposals and interviewed the top six firms; and WHEREAS, Noll & Tam Architects and Planners ("Noll & Tam") was the highest ranked based on the superiority of their proposal, Project understanding, qualifications, and extensive experience; and WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the consulting services agreement for the Project to Noll & Tam in an amount not to exceed $168,557; and WHEREAS, funding for the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2009-2010 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and sufficient funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the consulting services agreement for the Fire Station 63 Upgrades Project to Noll & Tam Architects and Planners of Berkeley, California, in an amount not to exceed $168,557, conditioned on its timely execution of the Project contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, executed bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the documents on behalf of the City Council upon timely submission by Noll & Tam Architects and Planners of the signed contract and all other documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney. * * ~ I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and ado~ted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 23r day of June, 2010 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Pedro Gonzalez, Richard A.
